How easy are your crochet kits?

My kits range from beginner-friendly to easy and improver level, and each product listing clearly tells you which category it falls into.
Beginner kits are designed for people who may never have picked up a crochet hook before, whilst the 'Easy' rated kits are also manageable for individuals new to crochet they may take a little longer to get to grips with.  Ultimately it really depends on the individual as to how 'easy' or 'hard' they find the process.  I include step-by-step instructions with clear photos, and all the tools you need to get started. If you’re unsure which kit is right for you, just drop me a message and I’ll happily help you choose.

Do you have kits suitable for complete beginners?

Yes, absolutely. Many of my customers are first-time crocheters. Beginner-friendly kits are created to build confidence gently, without overwhelm, and are perfect for a calm, satisfying first project.

Can I sell items made using your crochet patterns?

No.  My crochet patterns and kits are for personal use only.
Finished items made from my patterns must not be sold, either privately or commercially. This applies to physical shops, online marketplaces, social media sales, and commissions.

You’re very welcome to share your finished makes on social media.  I love seeing them - just please credit Made in the Button Room.

Are your patterns and designs protected by copyright?

Yes. All patterns, designs, instructions, Button Room Mini characters and images are protected by UK copyright law.

No part of the patterns must be reproduced in any form by any means, electronically or mechanically, by photocopying, recording or otherwise, shared translated or altered unless prior permission has been granted in writing from me - the designer/author.  You are permitted to reproduce the item for your own personal use as many times as you like without prior permission.  You must not reproduce these items for re-sale.

Can your cards be personalised?

Some of my keepsake crochet cards can be personalised, depending on the design.  Check out the keepsake cards listings to see which one's already offer personalisation. If you’re looking for a name, short message or small tweak, pop me a message before ordering and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Can I collect my order instead of paying for postage?

No.  I don't allow people to collect items from my home/work address.
Occasionally when I am doing events, I will offer collection from those locations.  When this is available it will listed as an option at checkout.

Do you offer crochet lessons?

Yes! I offer 1-to-1 crochet lessons locally in Gloucestershire.
Lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to you, whether you’re a total beginner, feeling stuck, or wanting to build confidence with something specific like amigurumi.  Sessions will be available to book online soon along with further booking details.  If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to use the Contact page to get in touch, or alternatively sign up to my email newsletter where you will be the first to hear about the latest news, offers and more.

Do you run crochet workshops?

I do. I run group workshops at yarn shows, festivals, community spaces and events, as well as occasional local sessions. Workshops are friendly, inclusive and designed to help people enjoy crochet without pressure or perfection. Upcoming workshops are shared on my website and social media.

Do you take custom crochet orders?

No, not as standard because most of my time goes into designing kits, patterns, teaching, workshops, planning for events and generally juggling small business life whilst living with chronic health conditions.  However I do occasionally take on small custom projects or happy to discuss collaborations when capacity allows. If you have something in mind and want to chat options feel free to get in touch using the Contact page or drop me an email at hello@madeinthebuttonroom.co.uk

Do you offer a crochet repair service?

No.  Unfortunately this is something I don't currently offer.

Are your products eco-friendly?

Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do.
I use 100% natural fibres where possible (such as wool and organic cotton), avoid new plastics, and package orders using recyclable, compostable or reused materials. It’s about progress, not perfection, I am always doing my best to make planet-kind choices.  For more details on sustainability at Made in the Button Room check out Sustainability page.  If you have further questions please use the Contact form or email me at hello@madeinthebuttonroom.co.uk
