Colourful Handmade Crochet Christmas Baubles – Set of 4

Colourful, stripy and just a little bit sparkly.

This one-off set of four handmade crochet Christmas baubles brings together gorgeous bands of pink, cobalt blue, turquoise, mustard yellow, lilac and cream, with a subtle metallic sparkle running through the yarn.

And although they all belong together, no two are quite the same.

I've crocheted all four using the same repurposed wool and acrylic blend yarn, allowing the changing colours to do their own thing as I worked. The result is four individual striped designs that complement each other beautifully without being identical.

A more playful take on Christmas decorating

If traditional red, green and gold isn't really your thing, these could be right up your street.

They're colourful without being completely in-your-face and would look brilliant mixed through a contemporary or more eclectic Christmas tree. I can also see them working particularly well in a modern interior, a colourful family space or children's room, or alongside decorations in primary and brighter colours you already own.

Use all four together, spread them around your tree, or mix them amongst plainer decorations for little pops of colour and texture.

Made differently, because the bauble underneath matters too

As with my other crochet baubles, I don't buy new plastic baubles to make these. The baubles underneath the crochet have been reclaimed and repurposed, giving existing decorations another lease of life rather than bringing more new plastic into the world.

The yarn has been repurposed too, making this set a rather good example of what can happen when perfectly usable materials are given another job instead of being discarded.

Their original tops may vary slightly, something you can see in the photographs, which is all part of working with reclaimed baubles rather than buying a box of identical new ones.

Your baubles will be carefully packaged using recycled and recyclable packaging wherever possible.

I prioritise protecting your order while avoiding unnecessary new packaging. That means your parcel might not always arrive surrounded by layers of traditionally 'pretty' packaging, because there is quite enough packaging going to waste already.

It will be carefully packed. It will be protected. It just won't have unnecessary packaging added purely for appearances.

These handmade crochet baubles are intended for indoor decorative use only. They are not designed or manufactured as toys and should not be played with.

Keep out of reach of babies and young children. Each bauble includes a hanging cord and may contain small or detachable components which could present a choking or entanglement hazard. Please also keep away from pets.

Handle with care. As these baubles are made using repurposed decorations, the bauble underneath and its fittings may vary slightly. Do not pull, twist or place excessive pressure on the hanging fitting or crocheted covering.

Keep away from naked flames, candles, heaters and other direct sources of heat. Do not place directly against decorative lights or other electrical items that become hot.

Cleaning: If required, gently surface wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a small amount of mild washing-up liquid. Do not soak, immerse in water or machine wash. Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, solvents or other cleaning fluids. Allow to air dry naturally and completely before storing or displaying again.

Storage: Store somewhere clean and dry, away from damp, excessive heat and direct sunlight. To help protect the crochet covering, avoid crushing the bauble or placing heavy objects on top of it during storage.

Before each use, check the bauble, hanging cord and fitting for signs of damage or looseness. Discontinue use if any part becomes damaged, broken or detached.

Due to the handmade nature of these decorations and the use of repurposed materials, small variations and minor imperfections are to be expected and form part of the individual character of each bauble.
