All the colours of autumn, in six little crochet baubles.

If bright Christmas colours aren't quite your thing, this one-off set brings something a little warmer to the party.

These six handmade crochet baubles are covered in the most gorgeous variegated yarn, with shades of burnt orange, red, cream, gold, yellow and pink mixed with darker brown flecks.

The yarn itself is rather special too. It was small-batch hand dyed by a local independent yarn dyer in Cheltenham, especially for Made in the Button Room.

And because variegated hand-dyed yarn has a mind of its own when it's crocheted, every bauble has a slightly different distribution of colour. They coordinate beautifully as a set, but no two are identical.

Exactly as handmade should be.

Not just for Christmas

Yes, they're baubles. But nobody said they had to wait patiently in a box until December.

Those rich, warm colours make this set perfect for autumn home decorating, harvest festival displays, Halloween decorations and seasonal table arrangements.

They'd look particularly good wired into an autumn wreath for your front door, mixed amongst leaves and other natural seasonal decorations, or arranged in a bowl or table display.

Then, when Christmas arrives, move them onto the tree.

At approximately 14cm circumference each, these are slightly smaller than my standard crochet baubles, making them brilliant for a smaller Christmas tree or for filling little gaps between larger decorations. The warmer, more traditional colour palette also works beautifully alongside golds, reds, creams and natural decorations if neon Christmas isn't quite your style.

Made differently

As with my other crochet baubles, the decorations underneath the crochet covers are reclaimed rather than newly bought plastic baubles.

Using existing baubles means I'm able to take something that has already been produced and give it a completely new look and another chance to be used, rather than automatically reaching for something brand new.

Combined with locally hand-dyed yarn and hours of crochet, they've become something very different from the mass-produced decorations they started life as.

There is only one set of six available in this colourway. Once this particular set has gone, it's gone.

Your baubles will be carefully packaged using recycled and recyclable packaging wherever possible.

I prioritise protecting your order while avoiding unnecessary new packaging. That means your parcel might not always arrive surrounded by layers of traditionally 'pretty' packaging, because there is quite enough packaging going to waste already.

It will be carefully packed. It will be protected. It just won't have unnecessary packaging added purely for appearances.

These handmade crochet baubles are intended for indoor decorative use only. They are not designed or manufactured as toys and should not be played with.

Keep out of reach of babies and young children. Each bauble includes a hanging cord and may contain small or detachable components which could present a choking or entanglement hazard. Please also keep away from pets.

Handle with care. As these baubles are made using repurposed decorations, the bauble underneath and its fittings may vary slightly. Do not pull, twist or place excessive pressure on the hanging fitting or crocheted covering.

Keep away from naked flames, candles, heaters and other direct sources of heat. Do not place directly against decorative lights or other electrical items that become hot.

Cleaning: If required, gently surface wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a small amount of mild washing-up liquid. Do not soak, immerse in water or machine wash. Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, solvents or other cleaning fluids. Allow to air dry naturally and completely before storing or displaying again.

Storage: Store somewhere clean and dry, away from damp, excessive heat and direct sunlight. To help protect the crochet covering, avoid crushing the bauble or placing heavy objects on top of it during storage.

Before each use, check the bauble, hanging cord and fitting for signs of damage or looseness. Discontinue use if any part becomes damaged, broken or detached.

Due to the handmade nature of these decorations and the use of repurposed materials, small variations and minor imperfections are to be expected and form part of the individual character of each bauble.
